Timex Automatic – 1970s
When most people think of Timex, they think of inexpensive quartz watches. What they don't think about are watches like this. This is a vintage Timex automatic from the 1970s, back when Timex was experimenting with mechanical movements and trying things a little differently. The gold-tone cushion case, champagne dial, and expansion bracelet give it a distinctly seventies look without feeling over the top.
It's the kind of watch that makes people do a double take when they see "Automatic" on the dial.
Why We Like It
I like watches that challenge expectations. Nobody expects a vintage automatic Timex. That's what makes this one fun.
The cushion-shaped case gives it just enough personality, the dial is clean and easy to read, and the expansion bracelet feels like it was made specifically for this watch. Put it on and you're immediately transported back to the 1970s.

Fishtown Watch Supply Thoughts
A vintage automatic Timex isn't something you run into every day. That's exactly why I picked this one up. It's affordable, interesting, and just a little unexpected. Sometimes that's all a watch needs to be.
